Trisomy 18 in the news and the symptoms.

                                                                          TRISOMY 18
I was asked to do some research about people with the disorder of chromosomes that is caused by trisomy 18.  I found about a man that has this syndrome and has survived for 21 years. His name is Donnie Heaton and he weights just 55 pounds. He is one of the rear people that have Edwards syndrome ( the name of the trisomy 18) and more specifically only 1 out of 6000 year births may have this syndrome and none of them have survived that much. Most of the people with Edwards syndrome die when they are just born and some of them may live for mostly 1 year.
Any people that has Edwards syndrome has those specific disadvantages:
Weird formed ears, small jaw mouth and short neck, flexed big toes, shielded chest and tight fingers (figure 1).

Figure 1, characteristics of a kid with Edwards syndrome
Edwards syndrome is caused by the occurrence of three 18 chromosomes instead of two.
There are different kinds of trisomy: There is the trisomy 21 also known as down syndrome      ( figure 2). Also the second most popular trisomy is trisomy 18( figure 1) and the third most popular is trisomy 13 that is also known as Patau syndrome (figure 3).
