This week we began the next unit. Unit 2.

How can we use our knowledge of physics to improve our human body machines?

Physics: Motion, Forces, Energy

WORK: MAD : Force * displacement (F*D)

We completed an exercise of finding the amount of work you perform if you jump one meter off the ground.
First we find the force which is:
F=m*a
F=!00 kg * 9.81 m/s
F= 981 N

Work= F*D
Work= 981 N * 1 meter= 981 J

J= Joules (unit for work)
